Project Description :

New building housing emergency night stay and children’s ward. Installation of 2 new chillers, associated cooling towers, chilled water piping, new boiler and heating water pipework, and associated mechanical plant serving the new wards.

Mechanical Description of Project:

• 2 new 1 megawatt Trane chillers and associated chilled water piping and pumps
• 3 off Cooling towers and condenser water piping and pumps
• 2 off Gas fired boilers and associated heating water pipework heating water coils and pumps
• 10 off CHW air handling units serving new wards
• Variable refrigerant volume DX air conditioning system serving new offices in the Basement
• Ventilation system
• Electrical and BMS control system with integration into existing hospital BMS network
• Ductwork and air diffusion

Installation of new plant and equipment into existing plant room needed to be coordinated carefully in order not to affect the operation of the hospital.

Integration of new equipment and plant control system into existing BMS control network.
